Pukiter Songs

Listen to old stuff created on the computer

These songs were created on the computer with trackers (Fasttracker and Madtracker 2). A tracker is a program that allows you to sequence sound samples in different tracks to make music. These are a few songs from the collection of pukiter songs created from 1995-1999.

# Title Description
1. Seven This is a song I wrote when I was first trying out seven beats. I think it sounds like a video game soundtrack.
2. Mr. DDDD This is one of my experimental songs that is one minute long. It is also one of the first pukiter songs with voice in it.
3. Sustain In this song, I was playing with the effects envelopes that you could put on the samples. I played three different parts in real time on the tracker.
4. Minor 3 This song is based on a minor 3 interval.
5. Pahala This is another song played in real time on the tracker. Many of the samples, including the drum beat, were created from my mouth.
6. Rufus I wrote this song on the piano in march of 1999. It has to do with leaving home.
7. Femur This is one of the earliest pukiter songs I ever made. I imagined a group of ants setting off in search of some distant place.
8. Plunk--Blind The words in this song are:What's wrong? I thought I was blind for a minute. Those were the first words that came into my head when I was creating this song. I was practicing making different parts that fit together nicely. The vocals have a terrible hum because the microphone connected into the computer I was using was very cheap.
9. Trapped in a Trese A song about a someone getting stuffed and trapped in a Trese box.
10. Germ Radiation Therapy I have no idea where this title came from. An interesting song.
11. Vague Memory This is one of my favorite pukiter songs. I spent a lot of time on this one.
12. Crazy 2 This song was made when I found out that you could use different samples with one instrument. I played most of the main parts real time.
13. Lolly Wag Ithsus Mog I was trying to make a song with shifting time signatures with this one. A part of this song reminds me of the Vohaul's theme song (from Space Quest II).
14. Destry Rides Again The title was taken from the old Jimmy Stewart movie. This is the theme song I imagine in my head. It is influenced by heavy metal. Notice the horse that gallops from right to left - that is Destry riding again.
15. Kunmok This is a song I originally wrote on my guitar and then I used samples and made it a pukiter song.
16. Slow Key This is a slow easy song. It is kind of long, but I like how this one turned out. I used a drumloop played back at slower than normal speed.
